Reviews
I don’t usually write negative reviews, but it's important to share the truth. The show felt like something from junior high. The lighting, sound, and choreography were subpar. The highlight was the conclusion, and we opted out of the dinner package.
Be cautious, as the ticket was listed for $49.99 on Viator, but at the show, the same ticket with dinner costs $49.99. Although they claim a price match guarantee, I was informed that their details specify no dinner included, which is misleading since dinner is provided at the show. Buying directly from the vendor may be a better option.
The food was terrible, resembling a low-quality microwave meal. While the show was enjoyable, I recommend avoiding the meal. None of the people around us liked their dishes; some even returned theirs. Our group had the hamburger steak with mushroom gravy, but I kept finding strange hard bits within the meat. The green beans were limp and seemed old, like they had been there for days. The dessert, banana pudding, was also disappointing. Just eat the roll and pass on everything else. This meal was very unsatisfactory, and they should take pride in their offerings.
I thoroughly enjoyed it; the food was fantastic and the entertainment was exceptional. My husband, a veteran, appreciated that aspect. The gospel music was incredible, especially the singer of "I Can Only Imagine," which really moved me. I'm looking forward to returning for Christmas. Kudos to everyone involved.
The singers showcased remarkable talent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the performance. While it may not be a large-scale production like some others, if you're looking to experience excellent music and skilled vocalists, this show is highly recommended.
The performance was average, but the venue felt outdated and worn, which made the ticket price feel unjustified. The food was a significant issue, as it was inconsistent in temperature, sometimes burning hot and other times cold. Booking through a third party seemed to worsen my experience. I wouldn't recommend spending your money on this.
The skill level of the performers was average. The male singer was quite good, and a couple of the female singers stood out, but they all put in a genuine effort.
We recently attended the Grand American Opry and thoroughly enjoyed it. While we didn’t favor this show in the past, this year was different; we liked the cast and the stage visuals. The songs offered a nice variety, including country, gospel, Broadway, and patriotic. We left feeling very upbeat, with a vibrant audience around us. Three of our group chose the dinner option, while one selected items from the concession stand. The theater staff received our appreciation. We are fans of their other productions, like The King Comes Home and Soul of Motown, and are now looking for opportunities to see this show again.
The entertainment was enjoyable, reasonably priced, and there were no crowds. Plus, parking was ample. I’m really pleased we chose to visit the Great American Opry.
I attended the show last night and had a wonderful time. There was a nice surprise for everyone. Guy and Jackie performed, and it was nostalgic since they used to be regulars at the Majestic when I first started coming a decade ago. The shows consistently evoke great memories and create a warm, family-like atmosphere. I highly recommend this performance to both locals and visitors, as it never disappoints. The food is also excellent, and the entertainers genuinely seem to enjoy performing for the audience. Be sure to grab your tickets; you might even experience a surprise on your visit. Thank you, Guy and Jackie.
