The tour of Philadelphia's "Italian" Market was both enlightening and enjoyable. Our guide, Barry, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about the area's rich history, including stunning mosaics by a local artist. The numerous murals created by local citizens and youth were also impressive. We gained great cultural insights while sampling delicious local dishes like Bin Mi pork and chicken sandwiches and tomato pie. Barry was an excellent guide, making the experience truly enjoyable.
Chuck was friendly right from the beginning, and my family appreciated the laid-back vibe and speed of the tour. The blend of local history, including tales of families and businesses, along with delicious food, made for a wonderful afternoon.
Jason Fried was an excellent guide. We explored and tasted our way through the 9th Street market. If you're in Philadelphia and love food, this activity is a must-do.
This was an excellent tour with many fantastic stops. Barry demonstrated a wealth of knowledge and was very accommodating, making it the best tour I’ve experienced.
Tom Lamb served as our tour guide and he was exceptional. His extensive knowledge and engaging demeanor made the experience enjoyable. The tour highlighted a wonderful variety from the Italian market. He was always ready with helpful suggestions, and the pace was just right. We enjoyed delicious bahn mi, tomato pie, a cheese board, cannoli, gelato, and coffee, and many of us picked up additional treats. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour was absolutely worthwhile. Our guide, Chuck, was exceptional in leading our adventure. He shared a wealth of fascinating information about the city, the Italian market, and the local residents. The food stops were outstanding! Chuck’s connections allowed us to enjoy a unique behind-the-scenes tour that we couldn’t have experienced elsewhere. We look forward to another great experience with Chuck in the future.
I had a fantastic experience with my 13-year-old niece on the tour led by Chuck. He was friendly and had a wealth of knowledge about Philadelphia's history, culture, and the food scene, especially in the Italian Market. Although I’ve lived in South Philly for four years and thought I knew a lot, I still learned new things and tasted different foods. This tour is great for anyone, whether they are visiting Philly for the first time or have lived there for years. Chuck's passion for his work is evident, and he is well-regarded by the local shop owners. I highly recommend it.
The walking tour through the Italian market and the Italian area of Philadelphia was fantastic. At the end, we gathered at a central spot for a picnic, enjoying all the delicious food.
