We opted for the two-day package to get acquainted with Philadelphia and revisit interesting sites later. The walk from our hotel to the bus pickup was lengthy, and we experienced significant delays waiting for the bus. On the first day, we were able to see some key attractions, but the long intervals between buses resulted in much waiting time. Additionally, we were unaware that we could use either of the two amalgamated bus companies with the same ticket. Unfortunately, street closures from a police funeral limited our use of the second day, leaving us just one bus stop option. Compared to similar tourist buses in other cities we've tried, this experience was less satisfying due to the waiting times. However, the guides were friendly and entertaining on the routes we did take.
This tour offers great sightseeing opportunities of key locations in Philadelphia, complemented by the guides' informative commentary. It also allows for a flexible schedule to make brief stops at preferred spots.
The experience was both enjoyable and educational. It was a fantastic way to explore without the hassle of driving and finding parking.
Avoid purchasing tickets for this tour. After getting off at the first stop, we found that three buses passed by, all completely full, leaving us stranded for half an hour. We spent $160 for four people and didn't get our money's worth since we couldn't move. I couldn't locate a phone number to reach out for assistance on getting back. Additionally, we were let down by our tour guide; there were no headsets available for the English tour, which would have been beneficial for those with hearing difficulties.
The tour was canceled because of a parade in downtown Philadelphia. I never had the chance to experience it and would like a complete refund.
It was an enjoyable experience that lasted the whole day. However, I rated it three stars because the driver claimed they would wait 20 to 25 minutes, which wasn’t the case. After getting off the bus at the Betsy Ross house for a bathroom break, the driver said he would wait 10 minutes, but when we returned in just 3 minutes, he was already gone. We had to catch another bus, which arrived a bit late, but that didn't really bother us.
As a first-time visitor to Philadelphia, I believed that taking a sightseeing bus was the best option for exploring the city, so I bought a ticket for $39. With this ticket, you have the choice to hop on and off, waiting 20-30 minutes for the next bus, or you can stay on the bus for the complete tour like I did. After finishing the tour, I grabbed a bite to eat and then disembarked at various locations I wanted to explore, keeping myself busy for around 20-30 minutes until the next bus came. This experience allowed me to discover new food options to try during my stay in Philly. Overall, I was able to navigate Philly independently via public transport and found the service to be excellent.
The narration was decent, but we had trouble hearing it from the top of the bus. Additionally, the tour felt hurried and we didn't stop at many places, despite our requests. Overall, it wasn't worth it for us.
Nick was a fantastic guide during my tour in Philadelphia. He was not only engaging and friendly, but also made the experience enjoyable. He truly seems like the best tour guide in the city.
The historical tour was decent, but I struggled to locate the starting point and found it challenging to display tickets on my phone. As I use a cane, I couldn’t access the second floor of the Betsy Ross House or First Congress Hall. My son was upset that we missed seeing Independence Hall due to not arriving early. However, I was pleased to see the Liberty Bell, and the bus commentary was particularly informative. I wouldn't recommend this tour for individuals with handicaps or those using a cane.
