This tour had its ups and downs. With just one day in the Quindio region, my flight change the night before was a challenge, but my guide Juan Pablo and driver Jorge adapted quickly, greeting me right at the airport. Both were friendly and engaging. We enjoyed a small breakfast before heading to Valle de Cocora, where the tallest wax palms captivated me in the lush landscape. Juan Pablo also helped by taking photos since I was traveling solo. The visit to the coffee farm was fascinating; I learned all about the journey from bean to cup. However, I found Juan Pablo's frequent phone use distracting, as he was answering other travelers' inquiries, making me feel a bit overlooked despite paying for a private tour. After breakfast, he insisted on stopping for lunch, but the restaurant overcharged me by 50 percent. He offered to address it with management, which I appreciated, but I opted not to pursue it. Then, we hurried to the coffee farm and had just about half an hour to explore Salento, arriving in the dark. While it was still nice to see, a daytime visit would have been preferable. I felt annoyed about having a lunch stop I didn't need, which ultimately cut our time in Salento short. Despite the tight schedule, I made it back to the airport with little time to spare. Overall, I think the tour was worthwhile given the beauty of the region and the convenient service, though I felt time management could certainly be improved.
This tour was fantastic! Our guide, Diana, provided us with a wealth of information and organized an excellent day in Cocora Valley, Salento, and at a coffee farm. Her insights into the region’s history were impressive, and her company was enjoyable. She also captured some great photos for us. I recommend scheduling this tour on a weekday, as the sites were not too crowded. Additionally, our driver, Carlos, ensured we arrived at each destination safely and promptly. The coffee tour offered valuable information and ended with a delightful coffee tasting.

The breathtaking views in Cocora Valley, the delightful atmosphere in Salento with delicious food and ample time to wander, and the informative coffee farm tour were all highlights. A quick note: be sure to wear long sleeves and pants at the coffee farm due to numerous mosquitoes. Overall, the trip was well-structured, the driving felt secure, and it turned out to be a fun and unforgettable day. I highly recommend it.
