This four-hour excursion begins with a scenic boat ride from the Outer Banks across the Currituck Sound to Sanctuary Vineyards. Once at the vineyard, you'll indulge in a wine tasting featuring some of their finest selections.
After the tasting, spend a bit of time browsing and purchasing wines to take home. The return journey by boat will bring you back to Duck, allowing you to soak in the views of the sound one last time. Dress comfortably for the boat ride and consider bringing a light jacket for the cooler sea breeze.

Communication was very poor. The activity was canceled due to wind, which I understand, but we were not informed. I had to make numerous calls and spend a lot of time on hold just to find out about the cancellation. I also called multiple times to request a refund, but I have yet to receive it.
I had a fantastic experience at my first wine tasting. It felt quite upscale compared to what I’ve heard about typical tastings. It was a truly unique experience, and I loved it.
The boat ride across the Sound was enjoyable, albeit a bit wet. We had a lot of fun. The wine tour and tasting were excellent. As lifelong boaters, we appreciated the boat ride, but note that it is a small open boat.
We truly enjoyed ourselves. The boat ride with Jordan was fantastic; he provided rain ponchos because of the forecast and played wonderful music for us to sing along to. He was very friendly and helpful. Sanctuary Winery is a charming local spot with a lovely building for tasting and shopping, offering a wide selection of wines.
