The boat cruise segment of the tour was excellent, and the guide was quite knowledgeable. However, the walking tour left something to be desired; although the guide was friendly, they lacked expertise.
The boat tour was enjoyable. I appreciate the efforts of our guide Melanie (or Melody?), John, and Captain Logan (or ?) as they made the experience worthwhile. I would definitely do it again. The electric boat was a nice touch, and the information provided was intriguing with an engaging delivery. As for the walking tour, it fell flat for me.
The guide demonstrated extensive knowledge and addressed all our inquiries. He allowed us ample time to admire the statues and was both friendly and courteous. He maintained a suitable pace for the high temperatures. The boat tour was enjoyable and relaxing.
The tour was canceled on us just one day prior to the scheduled date. It was very disappointing to have it called off at such short notice.
The tour guide had a wealth of knowledge but seemed disinterested and lacked a structured tour format. He rushed through, was not very enthusiastic, and his accent made it hard to follow him since he spoke quickly and softly. Overall, it was disappointing and didn’t feel like it provided good value for the price.
This tour offers a good overview of Ottawa's architecture. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience informative.
The boat ride was excellent, enjoyable, and informative. However, the walking portion could use some enhancements. Our guide mentioned that the company is relatively new, so they may still be developing their skills, but they should have fundamental knowledge about the city. Although friendly, our guide was unable to answer several basic questions.
The guide did not arrive, and when we contacted the local tour company, they informed us that she had called in sick and that the situation was mishandled. While I appreciated the apology, it feels like such excuses are becoming a common sign of incompetence. I suspect we were the only ones booked for the tour, and the guide simply decided not to show up.
My experience in Ottawa with my kids was very disappointing. I was excited for the tour after the guide confirmed it would just be us. Unfortunately, unclear directions made us 15 minutes late. The tour ended up lasting less than an hour instead of the 3 hours we had paid for. We saw the national art gallery, the parliament building, and some monuments. When my son needed a bathroom break, we rushed back to the gallery. Afterward, the guide instructed us to cross the street to visit the church after mass but left us to explore the gallery on our own, giving us stickers for free entry and saying goodbye. I felt relieved he was gone, as he proved to be unhelpful and unprepared. Instead of an engaging and informative experience for my kids, we were left feeling disappointed and confused. This was the worst experience I have ever had, and I am hoping for a full refund, aside from the gallery entry fee.
We had a wonderful stroll through the city's highlights. Our guide was fantastic, providing us with plenty of insights. Although the app had the meeting point and ending spot switched, our guides handled the situation swiftly. The boat ride was a nice way to conclude the walking tour.
