I highly recommend the island day tour, especially for those who prefer to skip hiking up a volcano—though Happy Tours offers that option too. We reached out at the last minute, and they managed to arrange a guide for us. We visited all the spots we had in mind, and Juan, our English-speaking guide, was excellent. It was a great opportunity for both of us to practice our Spanish and English. They were accommodating to our requests for destinations, and the family-cooked lunch was delicious.

Donald is fantastic! I’m really happy I chose this full-day tour of Ometepe. He picked me up from my accommodation at 8:30 AM, and we spent the day exploring the island's cultural and natural sites, culminating at Playa Mango for sunset. Lunch was delicious, thanks to his wonderful wife, and I got to meet his charming kids. As a bonus, he even tried to teach me how to ride a motorbike, which was a fun experience despite my struggles. I think this tour was an incredible value since I could tailor the itinerary, and I packed more into my day with him than most do in several days. I can’t recommend it enough! The day tour was the most incredible experience I’ve had in Nicaragua. Donald and Franklin were not only fantastic guides but also wonderful people. My friends and I were able to see all the sights we desired, with ample time for exploration and photos. We enjoyed a meal at Donald's family home, and I still think about his wife's cooking—it's the best food I've had on the island, served by the kindest people. The connections made and the experiences were priceless, and the visit to the Museum del Cabo deepened my love for the island. On the way back, the guides kindly took us to a Pulperia, and they even created a video of our day. I also booked several transport services through contacts made during the tour, and everyone was amazing—10 out of 10!
