This day trip begins with pickup from your hotel in Noumea, followed by a 45-minute journey on a well-appointed yacht to Amedee Island. The island is a protected marine reserve, offering a 30-minute glass-bottom boat tour that showcases vibrant coral and marine life.
You’ll be welcomed with a punch and treated to a buffet lunch featuring local ingredients, along with cold beer, French wine, and fruit juice. Post-lunch, coffee and desserts accompany an island dance show. With ample time for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, the highlight includes climbing 247 steps to the lighthouse for breathtaking views. Note that this trip is available exclusively to guests with a minimum three-night stay in New Caledonia.

This trip is absolutely worth it. The island is incredible, the lunch offered is exceptionally tasty, the dance performance is lovely, and the crew members are very friendly.
This was an excellent full-day excursion. There were numerous vibrant fish and the waters were warm and clear. A delightful lunch was included. It's important to act fast on the boat, as loungers and shaded areas fill up quickly. Bring good sunscreen or cover-up swimsuits.
The team was very nice, and the islet is definitely worth visiting. However, it was unfortunate that the lighthouse was closed for renovation.
This was potentially the best day trip I've ever experienced. We encountered dolphins, sharks, turtles, sea snakes, and a vibrant array of fish. The food was fantastic; my friend kept returning to the buffet. We enjoyed the cultural dance performance, plus there was plenty of time for sunbathing and snorkeling in the beautiful lagoon. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. I can't imagine how this experience could have been improved. Thank you very much.
It was a fantastic day overall. On a sunny day, there is plenty of shade and shelter available. The cultural show had limited English explanation, but the guides were friendly and very helpful. The snorkeling experience was clearer than at Signal Island.
This was a fantastic day from beginning to end. The island experience, combined with lunch, transfers, and excellent snorkeling, made for an amazing outing. I highly recommend it.
I spent an entire day with Mary D on the island, and it was fantastic despite the lighthouse being closed for maintenance. The beautiful beach, the incredible variety of plants and animals, and the engaging activities led by Mary D staff and lagoon aquarium volunteers made for a perfect experience. It’s ideal for families or couples. I would rate it 7 out of 5 stars.
