A naturalistic experience inside one of the last primitive forests of Madagascar. Lokobe in the Malagasy language means many colors and they are precisely those that the tour will allow you to admire. Centuries-old plants, cute lemurs, giant turtles, reptiles and much more ...... in an uncontaminated context of suggestive beauty,
Starting on the main square of Hell Ville, where Nosy Be's big market and our office are. We dive into the hustle and colourful cavalcade of the market. Then Lemuria Land. In the beautiful jungle park you can get up close and personal with more than 10 species of lemur. It's home to giant tortoises over 200 years old, the largest chameleons, crocodiles and many other interesting species to see and even touch. We visit their ylang-ylang distillery to admire it in amidst a cloud of intoxicating fragrance. After, either lunch in the best Malagasy restaurant or go on to visit the famous Sacred Tree. It's like the Tree of Souls in the movie Avatar. With luck, we meet a friendly lemur family too. Then we go on to the hidden waterfall, but before arriving we have lunch at the restaurant of the local fish smoker. After a 5-10 min jungle walk, head for the waterfall's cooling lake. If we still have time we visit the beautiful Andilana beach, or the Mont Passot lookout, with a magnificent view.
It's an out-of-this-world experience for true lovers of freedom and nature! Mounted on the jungle trees or the coconut palms of the ocean shore, our air-tents are unique in the world. For this fantastic 2-day tree mounted air-tent tour you can choose which island you want to visit. We can take you to Nosy Komba, a stunning jungle island with plenty of funny Lemurs. It has fantastic flora & fauna. Amazing beaches and a few excellent restaurants. You can also opt for the amazing Iranja, where the 2 islands are connected at low tide by a fabulous, dazzling white sandbar. It's like being on another planet. Or we can head to Nosy Faly, the sacred island. Here, on the snow-white sandy beach, we will be guests of a fishing village, share a meal with them and even we can accompany them fishing in their canoes. In the evening of any of theses tours, after setting up the tent, we barbaque seafood, together, and enjoy exotic fruits. Whichever you choose, it will be a lifetime experience!
A night jungle trek is like no other. Fantastic atmosphere, extraordinary creatures. Only someone who's been on one knows that. A dense, humid, sultry dark black jungle, broken only by the light of our headlamps and torches, and here and there we come across special animals, either resting or hunting at night. Night lemurs, special dwarf and other chameleons, night geckos, giant snakes, etc... And, if that's not enough, sleeping in the middle of a national park in a well-kept jungle, woken up by the cries of lemur families and falling asleep among the sounds of the jungle, is like being in a nature movie. And on top of that, there's the chance to relax on a completely private sandy beach, snorkel on the coral reefs and even try paddling a traditional Malagasy canoe.
Embark on the Malagasy Northern Triangle, a complete circuit combining adventure and paradise relaxation. Your journey begins in Diego-Suarez (Antsiranana), a vibrant port city with breathtaking views of the bay. Then explore the lush freshness of the Amber Mountain in Joffreville, a kingdom of waterfalls and lemurs, before venturing into the spectacular Ankara Special Reserve, famous for its Tsingy and mysterious caves. Finally, end your trip with the paradise islands around Nosy Be, like Nosy Komba and Nosy Tanikely, enjoying days of lazing, diving and snorkeling in turquoise waters. This exceptional trip to northern Madagascar combines culture, raw nature and idyllic beaches. Book this experience to discover the authenticity and beauty of this unique region.
Experience on an island recognized and protected as a Nature Reserve. Sea and sun punctuate the culture and traditional activities of the inhabitants: fishermen, artisans, children and the elderly are immersed in everyday life to the rhythm of an astonishing nature. The coral reef is easily reached by swimming. The island is world famous for its natural pools located under the Sacred Mountain. The depths rich in poseidonia are the ideal habitat for giant sea turtles: these turtles are so accustomed to the harmless movement of the fishermen with their motorless pirogues that the human presence has become familiar. You will swim very close to them.
It is a real 6 hours jungle trek, a wonderful experience. It's like being in a David Attenburough film. Funny lemurs and chameleons, exotic plants, like Jackfruit, cocoa, lychee, pepper and coffee bushes, vanilla and a lot more. It's not a simple walk on a paved nature trail, so for prepared travellers only. After reaching the island peak, in the second half of the trek we meet more and more lemurs, who are very friendly in winter, even jumping on us gently and accepting bananas from our hands, to eat sitting on our shoulders or heads. It's a real jungle adventure! You'll encounter real jungle villages with friendly indigenous people and such flora and fauna that you have only seen in nature films. During the tour you can taste things like the fresh cocoa fruit (the flesh of cocoa), the sweetness of raw sugar cane, jackfruit or soursop, 8 kinds of mango in season and other special fruits that don't even have a name in English or French! Try it and you will never forget nor regret it!
Paddling on the tropical Indian Ocean in a traditional tribal canoe. Crossing the edge of the mangrove swamp and meet friendly natives in a real jungle fishing village. If we are lucky, they even treat us to local folk songs and dances. Local guides who expertly and very carefully capture for us the truly wild jungle animals. Specialities such as the dwarf chameleon and up to 6-7 other rare chameleon species, lizzards, snakes, frogs. Close encounters with the funny and extremely friendly, but not cheeky or aggressive wild lemurs. Even with 5-6 species. Lunch in a real fishing village. Could anyone need more for an unforgettable experience?
