Boats, beaches, and the parts of Norwich you only see from the water. Ferry rides, sunset cruises, snorkel runs, and the occasional sailing day for travellers who measure good cities by their coastline.
Unlike a typical sightseeing boat trip, this experience puts travellers at the centre of the action aboard a real high performance jet powered RIB. Guests do not just sit back and watch, they have the opportunity to take the helm under professional guidance and experience how a commercial jet boat handles on the water. Operating from the busy maritime environment of Lowestoft Harbour, the trip combines high speed coastal adventure with genuine hands on navigation and vessel operation. Travellers can experience professional onboard systems including radar, AIS tracking, autopilot and digital chart navigation while exploring the Suffolk and Norfolk coastline from a unique perspective. Each trip is tailored to the conditions and group interests, blending excitement, local knowledge, maritime industry, wildlife and coastal sightseeing into a one of a kind East Coast boating experience.
An interactive murder mystery unfolds aboard the historic Mincarlo in Lowestoft, where guests embark on a thrilling investigation into the mysterious death of Captain Stanley Johnson. Over 2-3 hours, participants engage with interactive puzzles, explore the ship’s graveyard, and sail across Lake Lothing, collecting clues at each stop. The adventure culminates with a grand reveal at the Fisherman’s Wharf Pub, where guests can enjoy classic British seaside food and drinks while reflecting on their detective work. This unique blend of history, teamwork, and maritime exploration makes for an unforgettable experience on the coast of Suffolk.
A unique blend of high speed jet boating, working harbour scenery and coastal sightseeing makes this a standout experience along the East Coast. From the bustle of Lowestoft Harbour to the open coastline, the trip offers a completely different perspective of the area’s beaches, landmarks and offshore waters. Since 2023, guests may also see the purpose built kittiwake nesting structures along the route, adding a wildlife focus to the journey alongside the coastal views. Please note that scheduled times are departure times and guests must arrive 30 minutes before departure for check in and boarding.
This trip offers a rare opportunity to explore the working waterways of Lake Lothing and Oulton Broad from the water, combining maritime history, industry and hidden local sights. Depending on harbour activity, travellers may see vessels operated by organisations such as CEFAS and Border Force alongside offshore wind support vessels, fishing boats and other commercial craft. The journey also visits several historic wreck sites and passes important maritime landmarks that are rarely viewed from this perspective. Unlike our high speed coastal experiences, this is a slower paced sightseeing trip focused on exploration and local history, and can usually operate in a wide range of weather conditions. Please note that scheduled times are departure times and guests must arrive 30 minutes before departure for check in and boarding.
We offer a truly memorable Private Charter hire trips along the North Norfolk coast. Exploring the local bays and harbours. We will head out West to watch the sun set over the water while enjoying a cold complimentary glass of champagne on the Champagne sunset trips . A magical tour around the beautiful nature reserve of Scolt Head Island a natural barrier of sand and single and beautiful clear waters that surround the island .
Departing from South Pier, this fast-paced coastal experience heads north along the shoreline towards Scroby Sands, offering sweeping views of Lowestoft, Gorleston-on-Sea, and Great Yarmouth from the water. As we approach the seal colony, speed is reduced significantly to minimise disturbance, and the engine is typically switched off so the vessel can drift or anchor, allowing time to observe and photograph the wildlife at close range. The sands are home to both grey and common seals, often seen hauled out on the bank or swimming curiously around the boat, alongside a range of seabirds. Please note scheduled times are departure times and guests must arrive 30 minutes prior to departure for check in and boarding.
