• Jabreen Castle stands as the most stunning historic fortress in Oman. Built during the late 17th century, it is situated in Bahla within the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The architectural history of this site is truly impressive. • At the foot of Jabal Akhdar, roughly 25 minutes from Nizwa, the abandoned village of Birkat Al Mouz (translated as "banana pool") offers an attractive location for a 30-minute hike. The Al Falaj irrigation system still flows through the streets, and there is an interesting challenge if you bring three small colorful balls: drop them into the same water channel and observe how they diverge into different waterways after a few meters.
