Look for the black buggies in the area. Choose the pickup location that is most convenient for you, either near Nizwa central market or the old village.
What's the itinerary?+
• The journey begins at Nizwa Suq, moving past the fort and surrounding area towards the historic Al Aqr village. • In Al Aqr village, the buggy will navigate through the alleyways and mud houses while the guide shares insights about the history, traditional architecture, and the lifestyle of Omanis in earlier times. • After leaving Al Aqr village, the route leads to Al Ghantaq village where you can see the Tannoor (barbecue oven), traditional irrigation systems, the palm gardens, and experience daily life in authentic Omani villages. The cart will reverse direction at the upstream of Falaj al Ghantaq, with the guide explaining the pollination of palm trees. • A notable stop is at a small garden for a coffee break, during which the guide will also demonstrate climbing palm trees. • The tour returns to Al Aqr village to elaborate on the historical planning of Omani villages, concluding at your chosen drop-off location at either the Nizwa traditional market or the pickup point.
