Balcony Walk at Jebel Shams — day hike from Muscat

The day begins with a pickup from Muscat between 6 and 7 AM, followed by a scenic drive that takes you to Jebel Shams, arriving around 9 to 10 AM. The featured hike is the Balcony Walk along Wadi Ghul, where you’ll enjoy sweeping views and explore the historic village of Sab Bani Khamis. After the walk, there’s a chance to visit a hidden lake before returning to the vehicles for lunch.

You’ll also stop to see the ancient ruins of Ghul before making your way back to Muscat, typically arriving between 7 and 8 PM. Good hiking shoes and water are essential as you’ll be navigating varying terrain.
