The tour was quite informative, and we were given additional time at the Marble House, totaling 1 hour and 10 minutes for our visit. This was more than enough time to explore.
This tour was the absolute highlight of our trip! I had never heard of the Mansions until a friend recommended it. We viewed numerous famous mansions, and our guide displayed incredible knowledge. The duration spent at the Marble was just right, allowing us to explore without feeling rushed and still have time for the gift shop. We discovered many interesting facts about the area and its residents. I am definitely planning to do this again!
This is an excellent way to get to know Newport. The trolley ride takes you around the city, showcasing its architecture, churches, forts, mansions, and rich history, along with useful information about tourist sites and their hours. Our driver, Anne, was fantastic and handled a few disruptive passengers with patience, addressing their behavior kindly—thank you, Anne! If you choose to visit Marble House, you'll have about 75 minutes to explore independently, which is sufficient. After the house tour, the trolley resumes the Newport tour until it returns you to the starting point. Highly recommended.
Dominic was fantastic, providing a wealth of history, information, and humor. The experience turned out to be a three-hour tour that included a stop at the Marble House.
Jim, our tour guide, was fantastic. Although I grew up in Portsmouth, I discovered new insights during this tour. The only issue was that I had informed them my traveling companion used a walking aid, but the handicap lift on the trolley malfunctioned. Jim made several attempts with different keys to unlock the lift door. Fortunately, my friend was able to manage the trolley stairs and still had an enjoyable time.
Jim was outstanding! His extensive knowledge of history and engaging anecdotes about each location made the experience truly memorable. He is an exceptional tour guide.
The tour provided detailed insights about Newport's luxurious cottages, and the trolley ride was quite comfortable. Our driver, Dominic, was both knowledgeable and entertaining.
The experience was truly enjoyable, with stunning views of the cottages and landscapes. Dominic provided in-depth explanations about the area's history, showcasing his extensive knowledge.
The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Newport, which is his hometown, and had a great sense of humor. He even offered recommendations for dining after our trip. I truly enjoyed the experience, although I didn't catch his name.
The driving tour offered a wonderful overview of the area, and the one-hour stop at the marble house was just what we wanted. Our guide shared interesting historical insights and stories. I would highly recommend this experience.
