Three days by bus—17-Mile Drive, San Francisco sights, and Yosemite National Park views included, with hotel stays provided.
This three-day guided tour covers the highlights of California, starting with a scenic drive along the famous 17-Mile Drive by Pebble Beach. In San Francisco, you'll visit iconic locations such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard Street, and the Palace of Fine Arts. The itinerary also offers options for Bay Cruises and insights into lesser-known city spots.
Yosemite National Park's renowned landscapes are the capstone of the trip, with a chance to switch to Solvang Village if the weather doesn't permit the visit. Accommodation includes comfortable hotels with rooms sleeping up to four guests. Booking for larger groups is straightforward as long as you provide all booking confirmation numbers to stay together.
Reviews
It was a lengthy journey, but we were able to see many beautiful locations in a short period. There were some unexpected charges, but overall, it was a positive experience.
The tour package was good. After three cancellations, we finally got to visit Yosemite. However, the guide mostly spoke in his own language and seemed to give special treatment to other tourists who spoke it.
The first day of the tour was quite uneventful, mainly spent on the bus traveling to Sunnyvale in preparation for the San Francisco portion, though there was a stop at Pebble Beach. Day two was the highlight, offering an option between the SF bay cruise, an in-depth SF tour, or both. We opted for the bay cruise, which provided a fantastic view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The tour wrapped up around 5 PM. The third day was mediocre. I wished we could have spent more time in Yosemite, but since the tour goes back to LA, I suppose we had little choice. The Yosemite portion felt rushed—just brief stops at El Capitan and the waterfall for pictures before heading back. It felt like a half-day tour before returning to LA. Pros: - A lot of locations covered quickly (which could also be a downside). - Affordable. - The hotels selected for the tour were excellent. Cons: - You don’t get to decide how long to stay at each site. - The Yosemite tour is extremely short; dedicating a full day to it would be much better. Notes: - Depending on where you booked, there's a mandatory tip of $12 per day for the tour guide and driver. - Our tour guide, Jordan, is a native Chinese speaker, so non-Chinese speakers may need to adapt to follow his English.
The first day involved mostly bus travel to San Francisco, with a stop at 17 Mile Drive and Pebble Beach before heading to the hotel. The second day included an average morning tour. We opted for the in-depth city tour in the afternoon for $45 per person, but it was a bit disappointing since we were unable to visit the inside of the church, the Capitol, and the Civic Center as they were closed. Chinatown was decent if you know your way around. The Yosemite tour on the third day was enjoyable, but the return trip to LA felt long and tiring. Additionally, I noticed that five days after booking, the price dropped by over $100.
The trip was well organized and quite comfortable, so I would recommend it. However, the unexpected fee collected by the tour guide was off-putting. It would be more appropriate to disclose any extra charges before booking, and tipping should not be a requirement for every family member. That decision should be left to the family.
The trip was well organized, but there was an excessive amount of driving, particularly on the first day. While Yosemite was beautiful, there were no interesting stops on the return journey to Los Angeles.
The tour was well-organized and highly enjoyable. Our guide was friendly, professional, and shared many insightful stories. The bus was clean and comfortable, and the hotels provided a nice, relaxing atmosphere. 17-Mile Drive and San Francisco were stunning, while Yosemite was truly unforgettable. We had ample time for photos and exploration without feeling rushed. It’s an excellent way to experience numerous highlights in just a few days. I highly recommend it.
I just returned from an amazing 3-day journey from Los Angeles to San Francisco and Yosemite, guided by Sumei. It was a fantastic experience that combined information and fun. Sumei was a great guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. She ensured we visited all the top attractions and provided many fascinating insights. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing ample time for sightseeing and some personal exploration. Traveling in a comfortable luxury 33-seat bus made the trip even better, and the hotel selections were excellent. I'm grateful for this epic adventure.
The tour began in San Francisco and was both well-organized and brisk. Yosemite National Park was undoubtedly the highlight, with breathtaking scenery that justified the journey by itself. Overall, this is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a quick and easy introduction to California’s main attractions.
Samuel was both professional and friendly, and the locations we visited were incredible. I would highly recommend this experience.
