I had a terrible experience with my airport transfer from JFK to Newark. No car arrived, and there was no direct access to the car service. They called and were on hold for a long time, even emailing Carmel car service without any success. I waited over half an hour without any clarity on when, or if, the car would come. In the end, I had to cancel because I needed to catch a different flight. This was a frustrating situation that caused me anxiety, and they should have cancelled the ride and offered alternatives instead. I will be deleting the app and will not use this service again; it was a complete waste of time and money.
The transfer between the airports was punctual, professional, and very comfortable. As an older traveler with multiple heavy bags, I truly appreciated the assistance, space, and overall comfort. While it's pricier than a taxi or Uber, it was a relief to have everything arranged after a long flight and customs process.
The pickup time was initially miscommunicated; the transfer team believed it was set for 1:00 pm instead of actually being at 7:00 am. I contacted them using the phone number they provided, and within seven minutes, a car and driver arrived. Their promptness was impressive.
There was a lack of communication regarding what to do upon our arrival. Unlike previous guides, this one didn't send any messages ahead of time, despite having all our flight details. After sending a message in the app without receiving a reply, I managed to find a contact number and we waited 30 minutes for transportation. I had also requested an English-speaking driver, yet we struggled to understand him. I wouldn't suggest this service, although I am grateful we had enough time between our flights to make our connection.
Locating the correct parking lot can be challenging. We arrived at the app pick-up zone, only to find it was at a different lot—specifically Area B. Terminal 7's parking for Area B isn't clearly marked in Newark.
The transfer service I booked from JFK Airport to Newark Airport was extremely disappointing and I strongly advise against using them. They took my payment but showed minimal effort in facilitating the transfer. It felt more like poorly managed taxi service despite their claims of offering a high-quality executive service with an attractive website. I waited nearly two hours for my pickup at what can only be described as chaotic pickup points at JFK. Drivers did not identify themselves by name, and the small handwritten sign on the dashboard was nearly impossible to see. It seems unreasonable for customers to have to check every vehicle to find their ride among hundreds. Without a US mobile phone, I was unable to receive any updates from the company, and there were no accommodations for international travelers. After an 8.5-hour long-haul flight, the cold and wet conditions made matters even worse, requiring me to call them twice from arrivals for updates. The pickup process clearly needs improvement. To top off the poor experience, communication with the driver was difficult, and he asked for a $20 tip plus another $33 for the bridge toll, despite having already paid £112 online. This company should reevaluate its operations, as an airport transfer should not be treated as a mere "experience." In summary, the service was appalling.
I have utilized this service three times while traveling, and each experience has been excellent. I have used them in Greece, France, and the United States. They are very professional, always punctual, and communicate effectively to ensure the pickup is on schedule. Knowing the fee in advance helped me plan better and significantly alleviated my stress.
Hiring a driver to meet me right outside baggage claim and take me through NYC was worth every penny. It was a very enjoyable journey.
I have relied on this service for years to travel from my home in New Jersey to Newark Liberty Airport and the Bayonne Cruise port, both just a 35-minute drive. The drivers have always been dependable. However, on my last two trips, I was unexpectedly charged an extra $30 for congestion pricing. I've learned that the drivers are from a New York-based company and must travel to New Jersey. I don't want to cause issues for the drivers, but I’ve seen them waiting at Newark Airport and not heading back to New York until their shifts end.
The service was good, though there was a minor delay for pickup. However, we still reached our destination on time as planned.
