The experience was decent until we approached the gulf. The captain mentioned that conditions were too choppy, so we stayed in the bay, despite seeing other boats go out. We waited about 30 minutes for the sunset, but our spot wasn’t ideal; as it got closer to sunset, more boats crowded the bay, blocking our view. It seemed like the captain didn’t plan for this, which made our sunset experience less enjoyable. I wish they had mentioned that the cruise might not actually enter the gulf, as it was marketed as a Gulf of Mexico sunset cruise.
