A full day aboard the catamaran Sabre — Mamanuca Islands cruise, gourmet lunch, and beach time at a private island.
Spend an entire day sailing around Fiji’s Mamanuca Islands on board the catamaran Sabre, which offers varied itineraries based on weather conditions. The large, shaded canopies provide an array of seating options ensuring you can relax and take in the stunning surroundings.
Your day includes morning tea and a gourmet buffet lunch prepared by an executive chef, with complimentary soft drinks and bottled water available all day. From lunchtime, beer and wine are included for two hours. You'll also stop at the private island of South Sea Cay, where you can enjoy beach time and snorkelling. Bring swimwear, sunscreen, and a towel for a day spent in the sun.

This experience is enjoyable, but may not justify the price. The full day on a sailing catamaran to a coral cay with palm trees and crabs is nice, yet the snorkeling was disappointing. The water was murky, limited visibility to about 3 meters, and aside from starfish and sea cucumbers, there were very few fish. The Yasawa Islands offer much better snorkeling with their protected barrier reefs and clear waters. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, and having unlimited soft drinks all day and hard drinks for two hours was a nice touch. Lunch was adequate, featuring various meats and salad. The boat, Sabre, was impressive, offering stability and interesting seating, plus watching the sail rigging was a unique experience. However, it was a bit slow, meaning much of the day was spent traveling rather than enjoying the water. In summary, it's a solid experience, but I'm left wondering if it was worth $120 USD. If you’re considering this, it’s worthwhile, but missing out due to weather wouldn’t be a disappointment.
We appreciated the complimentary pick-up and were pleased with the large boat, where we found a great lounge spot with a shade sail. It was enjoyable being on the water, and the staff were wonderful and attentive, plus their singing was enjoyable. However, the snorkelling conditions were challenging, with rough waters making it difficult to swim against the current. Several guests noted struggles in keeping up with the guide, which could be daunting for less confident swimmers. It would have been helpful for the smaller boat to remain closer to the snorkelling area to assist anyone needing to return. Many were unable to snorkel for long due to the conditions. While the drinks at the sandbar were refreshing and the food exceeded our expectations, the timing of the complimentary drinks could be better organized since snorkelling time was cut short. The return trip to port was disappointing, as it became excessively loud and rowdy, making it hard to relax and appreciate the view. While it’s great for people to enjoy themselves, the volume and the behavior of some passengers made it uncomfortable for others, including families. We all paid for this experience, and consideration for everyone onboard would be appreciated. Overall, it was an enjoyable day with excellent staff, but some areas could use improvement.
I joined this tour based on a friend's recommendation from February, and it exceeded my expectations. The tour was expertly organized with amazing staff who were friendly, lively, and eager to assist us. The food, drinks, and entertainment were excellent. On Tuesday, March 24th, the entire group, including fellow tourists, contributed to an unforgettable experience in Fiji, particularly while enjoying drinks on the Sandbar.
The ship and crew were fantastic, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the lunch prepared on board. It's important to mention that there is only one stop on this full-day trip, which is at a sandbar rather than an island. Overall, it was an enjoyable day, but several guests, including myself, expected multiple stops throughout the day.
It was a relaxing and enjoyable day trip; everything matched what was outlined in the package.
The staff and service were outstanding, making for a very enjoyable day. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Fiji.
Everything was efficiently managed, from the complimentary snacks and drinks at boarding to the well-organized activities and ample staff available for assistance. The lunch, cooked on the vessel, was outstanding. Overall, the snorkeling location made for a perfect day.
I had an incredibly enjoyable day! Despite the less-than-ideal weather, everyone still had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The buffet lunch was extensive and tasty, and the drinks along with the music on board added to the fun. I would highly recommend this experience!
The entire experience was fantastic. Transportation from our hotel to the port was straightforward once we followed the instructions. The crew on the catamaran was very friendly and enhanced our trip. Observing the tropical fish at the reef and making new friends was a perfect bonus—I'd rate it a 10 out of 10.
This was an extraordinary experience. The staff were outstanding in their care and entertainment of guests. On our day trip with two children, they took great care of us. They provided guided and assisted snorkeling for beginners, which we really appreciated. The food and drinks were excellent. Every dollar spent was worth it. Highly recommended.
