We attended the morning class, and Hata and Ming were very patient and supportive throughout, assisting us from selecting the materials to demonstrating the crafting techniques. Even with our limited skills, they helped us refine our artwork, which turned out to be a true masterpiece. If you're considering this experience, I strongly endorse it. I look forward to doing another session when I return to Vietnam.
This place is incredible! The skilled staff are not only friendly but also very supportive. We spent three hours crafting our pieces, and I wished we could have stayed longer. I was thrilled with the little fish plaque I created; they even allow you to send a design if you have something specific in mind, but they also have many creative suggestions. We had an amazing workshop with Hata and his team. They were all friendly, patient, and supportive, making it a lot of fun. Time flew by, and the hotel pickup was well-organized. The atmosphere was lovely, and now we have our own wooden art piece from Hoi An. They encouraged us to do as much as we could while providing assistance when needed to refine our artwork. It was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it.

Initially, I doubted the images I saw online, wondering if the final outcome could match the varying skill levels of participants. However, the instructors were exceptional, and the results were exactly as promised. I'm really happy we chose this while in Hoi An.
I participated in a fantastic 5-day wood statue-making course that was incredibly enjoyable. The service was excellent, offering a complete package that included carving classes, accommodation, and meals with coffee at no extra charge. The carving instructor was very passionate and made the process accessible even for beginners like me. By the end of the course, I had created several characters I adore. If you're short on time, there's also a 3-hour class available for crafting a wood picture. I highly recommend this experiential activity in Hội An, Vietnam.
The museum is definitely worth a visit, even without participating in the workshop. It is compact, but the displays are impressive. The workshop was intended to last three hours, yet it was only two, leaving me unable to complete my project, which I plan to finish when I return to the UK. Throughout the workshop, no water, tea, or coffee was provided. They took a picture of me with my work and said they would send it to me via WhatsApp, but I never received it. I was looking forward to buying some of their artwork as gifts, but there’s no shop available, which was disappointing.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It began with the host welcoming us and showing us two rooms filled with wood carvings made by two generations of master carvers. The trainers then helped us trace and carve our designs, providing attentive assistance whenever necessary.
