The service provided was excellent, the driver was fantastic, and the price for the trip was very reasonable. I highly recommend this option over bus tours to everyone.majabX9445IY

We planned a summer trip back to Newfoundland in January. With Canadian air travel becoming unreliable and rental cars nearly impossible to obtain, we chose to drive instead. I allotted three days to reach the ferry in North Sydney, NS, but was pleased to discover that the route from the 401 to Cape Breton featured all four-lane highways, including the A-30 Montreal bypass. We actually arrived in NS in just two days. Although construction on A-30 added about an hour and major work on A-85 near the NB border contributed an additional hour to our travel time, it wasn't too bad overall. Regarding the highlights of our journey: 1. Rose's Motel in Edmundston, NB stands out as one of the best places I've ever stayed; it was clean, had friendly staff, and offered excellent value. We even chose to stay there again on our return trip. 2. The Irving station east of the Truro exit on Hwy 104 was a pleasant surprise for breakfast. Although it only had a coffee shop, the staff directed us to Eastside Family Restaurant in New Glasgow, which I highly recommend for its good food and great service. 3. Mariner's Galley in North Sydney, NS was a lucky find for dinner while waiting for the ferry. The restaurant, visible from the ferry dock, offered a diverse menu, and our selections (shrimp cocktail and roast beef dinner) were among the best I've had. Unfortunately, there were some downsides: 1. While Irving stations in NB and NS claim to have clean washrooms, the cleanliness was lacking, except for the one mentioned above. It seems their management isn’t adequately supervising staff performance. 2. The Stonehouse Motel in Truro was one of the dirtiest places I've encountered. After reserving a room through Booking.com, we opted to leave due to the unsatisfactory exterior, unkempt parking lot, and questionable clientele. Canceling the reservation and getting a refund required significant discussion with the receptionist, so I advise staying away. In summary, the trip was enjoyable, and if you decide to go, I recommend booking your ferry in advance (a year out is advisable for a cabin) and planning your accommodations ahead of time.Nomad58915313176
