Situated at the base of Jabal Akhdar, all travelers heading to Jabal Akhdar must pass through this town. • The Al Kattmyn Irrigation System, recognized as a UNESCO heritage site, is part of five such systems. The route then ascends to Jebel Akhdar, known as the Green Mountain, famous for its numerous fruit orchards and rose gardens.
