We had a fantastic afternoon with Manoj and Abhi. As two adults and one 5-year-old child, we found the tour highly entertaining for all. Manoj provided a wealth of information about the caves and was attentive, even pointing out the last place to get water and use restrooms. He also kept our son engaged when he started to tire, helping by carrying him and our bag for a while. Using the private speedboat was definitely worth the extra cost, reducing our travel time significantly, nearly by three times compared to the ferry.

The guide arrived 25 minutes late, but we were the second boat to reach the island with a 9am departure. Be prepared for the tough steps, especially in hotter months, as we faced a long trek without breaks since the shops weren't open. Manoj, our land guide who lives on the island, was quite knowledgeable and offered us water during our ascent. We observed various attempts to build the temple; it's unfortunate that the ruins are heavily damaged, but the message is clear. The return boat ride allows for a refreshing cooldown, with a stop at India Gate for photos if desired. Overall, it was wonderful to experience the site without crowds, and the total tour lasted 2 hours. If possible, visit during a cooler month.
