The water taxi from near the Aquarium to Patriots Point was an excellent choice. It provided the best way to reach the USS Yorktown, and the friendly staff made the journey enjoyable, complete with stunning harbor views.
The Captain and Co-Captain, both women, were friendly and felt like instant companions. Unlike other tours that constantly narrate Charleston's history, this cruise was a pleasant and relaxing experience. As long-time locals, we appreciated the chance to enjoy the harbor without the repetitive history lessons. My family loved the trip, especially my 5-year-old granddaughter, who had a wonderful time even without seeing any dolphins. While we didn't use the ride as a taxi, it’s a good option. We brought drinks and snacks and lounged for about two hours. My husband suggested that we might drive to Patriots Point one day to hop on the taxi to the Market area for a leisurely walk back to our car, which would be much easier than searching for parking downtown.
