The grounds were stunning, and the tours provided a wealth of information. My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there, finishing off the day with ice cream at the Butterfly Cafe.
Arriving in Charleston by cruise ship, we opted to purchase our own plantation tickets, and it was a great choice. The Uber ride cost us $30 one way. We had a relaxing time exploring the stunning plantation and grounds at our own pace, allowing us to choose the presentations that intrigued us most. The staff were both friendly and knowledgeable, offering a very informative experience. The return Uber fare to the cruise terminal was $44. I highly recommend a visit to Boone Plantation.
Our visit to Boone Hall was fantastic. Being there on a weekday during the shoulder season meant minimal crowds and no delays for talks or tours. The grounds were stunning, the exhibits impressive, and the docents excellent storytellers. I strongly recommend this tour for those seeking a deeper insight into our nation's history and the institutions of slavery.
The experience was quite informative with stunning gardens, but we couldn't go inside the home to see how the owners lived. There were also individuals sharing stories from the past.
The tours and the grounds at Boone Hall Plantation are truly impressive. The guides were very well-informed, providing detailed explanations and addressing all our questions effectively.
Boone Hall Plantation is definitely a place you should visit. Make sure to take the time to explore it, particularly the Gullah Presentation.
It was a wonderful experience filled with plenty of educational content. We spent 5.5 hours exploring the area and enjoyed walking the nature trails as well.
This was an excellent tour with a well-organized experience and friendly, knowledgeable guides. The drive through the Avenue of Oaks was stunning. Be sure to take the tractor ride. It offers great value, and I highly recommend it.
The surroundings are breathtaking, and we really enjoyed wandering and discovering the area. As a teen when The North and South miniseries aired, it was special to see the filming locations. The house tour was somewhat underwhelming, covering only three or four rooms, which felt limited. Nevertheless, our overall experience was wonderful, and I would gladly return to explore the grounds further.
It was a fantastic experience that provided a lot of valuable insights.
