My family of three adults and one 12-year-old enjoyed a 2.5-hour tour led by Emery on December 30, 2025. It was the best part of our trip. Emery shared fascinating stories, guided us to unique spots, and spent extra time with us. With his skills in using iPhone cameras, we ended up with stunning photos and memorable tales. We departed Monument Valley with a greater understanding of the Navajo people's efforts to harmonize with nature and humanity, all thanks to Emery.
We participated in the full-day tour, which included 3 hours in Mystery Valley and another 3 hours in Monument Valley. The experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Our Navajo guide picked us up promptly and showed us fascinating sites like Ancestral Pueblo dwellings, petroglyphs, and the homes of current residents, all set against stunning natural scenery. Having grown up in the area, our guide offered personal stories and insights, which enriched our understanding of the culture, even if his historical knowledge was somewhat limited. Unlike other guides who remained in their vehicles, he actively joined us on hikes, helping us grasp the significance and history of the locations, as well as the geology and ecosystem. In summary, we were very pleased with everything we saw and learned.
In February, the Little Red Book mentioned that the road closed at 2:30 PM, so we rushed to arrive by 2:05 PM. However, we learned the road had actually closed at 2:00 PM. Our car couldn't drive in, and we could only view the area from the observation deck after a long journey. I asked our guide to help us explore, and if you opt for a tour, make sure it’s for 2.5 hours since private cars cannot access certain sites like Eagle Eye and Sun Eye. Our Navajo guide, Emory, was very knowledgeable about history, pop culture, movies, and natural sciences. He also shared many tips on photography, helping us adjust our phone settings for the best pictures. While the tour is pricier than driving, it is undoubtedly worthwhile.
Having Amory as our guide was a wonderful experience. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, offering us a unique opportunity to explore Monument Valley. He captured several unforgettable photos and shared his personal stories from childhood, giving us a genuine glimpse into Navajo culture.
Having visited the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Antelope Canyon, I thought I had seen it all, but Monument Valley offered a completely different experience. Exploring the valley from within is incomparable to viewing it from the outside. The Three Sisters’ tour gives an exceptional in-depth journey, and our guide Amory made it even more memorable with his personal anecdotes. Each tour costs around $70 per person, and you must join a tour to enter the valley. We traveled in a 12-person tour truck, led by Amory, who took us deep into the heart of the valley. The atmosphere was serene and almost dreamlike, with the sun casting vibrant red hues on the unique rock formations. Amory educated us on their origins, sharing both scientific explanations and Navajo legends. There were ample opportunities for stunning photography, and we even climbed a sand dune, humorously referred to as a Navajo treadmill by Amory. He also shared a poignant personal story, adding depth to the experience. Be prepared for a wait at the Navajo visitor center, which took us about 20 minutes, so plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early. If you're traveling from outside the area, remember to consider the time difference. Lastly, bring some extra cash to tip your guide at the conclusion of the tour. This excursion is essential for concluding your trip on a high note.
It was a wonderful experience. We had the opportunity to visit the most notable spots, and our guide, Amory, was truly exceptional.
The 2.5-hour tour we experienced was exceptional and truly worth the cost. Our guide, Amery, a Native American, shared his culture and history with great love and respect. He was also great at taking pictures. The Three Sisters tour offers a spacious vehicle and more personalized attention for a slight additional fee. Highly recommended.
This tour was the pinnacle of our spring trip. Our guide Amory safely took us to stunning locations and enriched the experience with his cultural insights and humor.
The tour was fantastic! On May 2, 2026, we explored the park and greatly appreciated the personal attention from Amery. I highly recommend Three Sisters Navaho Guided Tours for a personalized experience in Monument Valley. Book with them and you won't regret it. I look forward to returning. Thank you. Sincerely, D. We booked our tour through Three Sisters, and Emery was exceptional. The sightseeing was incredible, but the insights into Navajo heritage truly stood out. We traveled to areas beyond the standard loop, exploring stunning arches and ancient pictographs up close. Emery even utilized our phones to capture unique panoramic photos. At John Wayne Point, we had the chance to ride a horse named Spirit for just $20, which we gladly did. There was also a convenient stop for restrooms and some shopping, including fry bread. Emery's personal touch made this trip truly memorable.
