Monument Valley ranks among the most stunning locations I've ever seen, and Toney, our guide, enhanced the experience significantly. He ensured we captured fantastic photos and shared tips for our iPhones. Toney was friendly and knowledgeable, making the chilly morning more comfortable by warming the car for us. He took his time to show us various rock formations and shared insights about their meanings. Additionally, he provided information about Navajo culture and traditions. This was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever.
We booked a tour for June 10, 2020, via their website, receiving confirmation of the payment and details. After several attempts to confirm, I received no callback. We drove two hours only to find the park completely closed, preventing us from meeting anyone. Despite seeing another tour group operating, nobody from our tour showed up or called. I emailed for a refund with no response, leading me to dispute the charges with my credit card company. The next day, I received an automated email thanking me for attending the tour, despite not having done so. I understand COVID-19 may be a factor, but they should at least update their website to reflect their closure and stop the automated confirmations.
Our guide Tony was incredibly kind and shared many fascinating stories about his Navajo culture. We visited a hogan and spoke with Suzy, who weaves her own yarn to create Indian rugs. He also took us to various excellent spots not included in the self-drive tour and provided useful tips for capturing great photos. Just keep in mind that this tour was conducted in an open vehicle, and since it started at 9 a.m., it was a bit chilly initially.
The group size was small, just 12 participants, which was fantastic. We had plenty of time for taking pictures and received a wealth of information. Our guide was very knowledgeable and excellent.
We participated in the sunrise tour of Monument Valley with Toney, and it exceeded our expectations. The stunning scenery and vibrant colors of the sunrise were impressive, and Toney's knowledge and hospitality were exceptional. The Navajo demonstration of drums, flute, and singing added a wonderful touch. I highly recommend Monument Valley Safari.
The guides truly enhance these tours, and we were fortunate to have an outstanding local guide. He took us to fantastic spots for sunrise photography and had great routes and access. He was also very informative and knowledgeable. A wonderful person. When we return, we'll choose an overnight tour, ideally with the same guide. Thank you, Tony, for turning a lovely outing into an exceptional experience.
We scheduled the 6:30am sunrise tour, which was stunning. Duffy provided excellent insights into Navajo culture and assisted us in capturing great photos.
We had an incredible experience with Toney on the sunrise tour. The weather was favorable, but having Toney as our guide truly made it special. He arrived early and offered a personalized tour of the monuments, sharing personal stories and valuable recommendations. In late January, my husband and I were the only ones on the tour, and Toney provided excellent tips for great photos along with fascinating insights about his life and family. Highly recommended.
This was a wonderful way to connect with Navajo culture in Monument Valley. Cody was an excellent guide, making our experience delightful. The dinner and cultural presentation in a hogan were enjoyable, with an informative speaker who had a lovely singing voice. We relished our Native American tacos. Traveling in an open-air vehicle was cozy for our group of six. The breathtaking landscapes provided endless photo opportunities. Thank you, Cody, for a memorable evening.
The lower Monument Valley tour was amazing, thanks to our fantastic Navajo guide who shared insights about the stunning landscapes and Navajo culture, along with tips for capturing great photos. I highly recommend choosing a knowledgeable Navajo guide.
