Reviews
We had limited time to explore Monument Valley during our travels, so we chose to book the service. Our guide was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
I highly recommend taking this tour. It was packed with useful information, although it can get a bit dusty at moments, so bringing a face mask is a good idea.
The 4x4 tour offers stunning views, but our guide provided limited information, which was disappointing. We wanted more details. Given the cost of 57 euros per person, it feels steep for the experience. If you have a suitable vehicle, consider driving the scenic route yourself for just $15, which is much more affordable.
The driver and guide were exceptional. Monument Valley is a truly enchanting location and a must-experience if you're visiting the national parks in the western United States.
Warren, our guide, provided an insightful 1.5-hour tour of Monument Valley, sharing valuable information about its geology and history. He also offered perspectives on Dine culture and their ancestral presence in the area long before Columbus. It felt like he made a great effort to highlight the most scenic spots for us during our brief visit.
The tour was beautiful and provided a great opportunity to get close to the stunning sights of Monument Valley.
Finding the loading area upon arrival was challenging. Once located, an older man struggled to determine our place, but fortunately, someone else stepped in to assist. The ride was extremely bumpy and difficult for older individuals to enter and exit the truck. The initial section of the road was smooth gravel, but the roads around the monuments are in need of repair. The stops were mainly for shopping, and while the driver provided some information, it wasn't enough to merit a tip for such a high price. Don’t expect excellent service here.
The backcountry tour is definitely worth experiencing. The tour company is reliable, and it was fascinating to see the locations where films were shot, along with the history of the Navajo Nation. Our guide, Roz, was exceptional.
We had a fantastic experience. Harry, our guide, provided valuable insights into Navajo life and wildlife, showcasing breathtaking views in a stunning area. It was even better that we had the entire tour to ourselves.
This tour offers access to restricted areas in Monument Valley, making it a fantastic experience compared to the cheaper self-driving options. With someone else driving, you can truly appreciate the stunning views all around. The open-air seats provide 360-degree visibility, though be prepared for some dust if other vehicles are around; consider bringing a bandana or mask for the dirt roads. Our guide Bob was knowledgeable and responsive to all inquiries. The native entertainment segment was also very enjoyable. After the tour, you might want to change out of your dusty clothes.
