This full-day experience begins with pickup from your accommodation in Cusco and a scenic drive in private transport to Mollepata, situated in the Apurimac River valley. After a breakfast to energise you, the journey continues to Soraypampa (3,900 metres). Following a brief rest, a 1.5-hour hike leads you to the stunning Huamantay Lagoon at 4,200 metres. Spend some time soaking in the beauty of this alpine lake before retracing your steps back to Soraypampa for lunch, complemented by panoramic views of the surrounding snowy peaks.
Post-lunch, you’ll make your way back to Cusco, arriving around 6 PM. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and carry water for the ascent.
