Our time in the Mobile area was truly delightful, largely thanks to our tour guide, Dennis. He was not only friendly and courteous but also extremely knowledgeable about all the sights we visited and even those we drove past. We gained a wealth of information, particularly at the inspirational USS Alabama, which filled me with pride for our country. The Civil War Era insights from the museum and Jefferson Davis home were captivating, as were the details about Hurricane Katrina. My favorite stop was Bellingrath Gardens and Home, which offered stunning, tranquil gardens and an impressive house. We also visited Fort Gaines, but opted to stay in the car since we are both in our 70s and quite tired. Dennis was very accommodating and patient with us, and I highly recommend this tour. One suggestion would be to offer a shorter tour option for older participants like us.
We had a fantastic day. Each of us had different sights we were eager to see, but we both felt that the highlight of our tour was our guide, AJ.
