The walking tour is a must-do. The guide provided exceptional insights about the area, and the food stops were fantastic—there was so much food that it was almost impossible to finish everything. I highly recommend this experience.
If you appreciate delicious food and are keen to learn about local history and culture, you should not hesitate to secure a spot on this trip. Our guide was remarkably knowledgeable, akin to a university history professor specializing in Mobile, AL's journey from its origins to the present day. She shared engaging anecdotes, intriguing facts, and well-researched stories about the region. And the food—did I mention how incredible it was? We enjoyed fried green tomatoes, locally roasted nuts, baked oysters, Alabama-style BBQ, and ended with a beignet. It was truly excellent. I would rate this experience a perfect 10 out of 10 and would definitely do it again.
This was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and the timing was perfect. Bella provided excellent insights into Mobile's history and delivered an outstanding tour. Highly recommended.
The food was fantastic and abundant. The historical information about Mobile was fascinating. There is a fair amount of walking involved, but our guide was very patient and took his time with everyone.
Bella was an exceptional guide for our Downtown Mobile food and history tour. As a history enthusiast, I appreciated how much this experience added to my knowledge. The hotel and the Cathedral were stunning. Sampling various foods was enjoyable, making it a great way to have a meal while learning about the area's history. My wife and I are very pleased we participated.
The guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining, making the experience enjoyable.
This experience is a must when visiting Mobile! There was an abundance of delicious food and fascinating history. Our host, Cynthia, was entertaining and insightful. There was a surprising variety of food available, ensuring something for everyone.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our guide was exceptional—well-informed, engaging, and genuinely enthusiastic about Mobile’s history and culture. With just my wife and me in a small group, we felt a personal connection with our guide. The food was outstanding, featuring excellent restaurants and quick stops at local shops for delightful treats like candy and peanuts. We participated in the three-hour afternoon tour, which concluded at 5:00, leaving us satisfied and happy. The tour's pace was ideal and offered the best opportunity to explore Mobile, its culture, cuisine, and surrounding coastal area. Residing in the Gulfport/Biloxi region, I learned a lot about Mobile's influence on our own culture. I previously thought most of that influence stemmed from New Orleans, but now I recognize how crucial Mobile has been. For anyone looking to delve into Mobile’s history, culture, and culinary scene, this tour is essential.
This tour offers an excellent opportunity to explore both the history and culinary scene of downtown Mobile. There were numerous food stops, and the portions went beyond just appetizers. It truly surpassed my expectations and matched the cost. Our guide, Cynthia, was friendly and engaging.
Cynthia was an excellent guide and an impressive historian. We gained a lot of knowledge about Mobile while enjoying delicious food. I highly recommend starting this tour as your first activity in Mobile.
