Half-day tour includes hiking and two rappels — a 120-foot drop next to the Morning Glory Natural Bridge, with stunning views throughout.
This adventure in Moab combines hiking and rappelling in the impressive slot canyon known as Medieval Chamber. The excursion involves trekking along rock fins that lead to two exciting rappels. The first rappel descends into the slot canyon, showcasing striking sandstone layers formed over millions of years.
The highlight is a remarkable free-hanging rappel measuring 120 feet next to the Morning Glory Natural Bridge, which spans 243 feet across — one of the longest in the United States. After rappelling, the journey continues with a scenic hike down Grandstaff Canyon towards the Colorado River, allowing time to appreciate the surrounding landscape. Be prepared for a mix of thrills and stunning visuals.
Reviews
My husband and I, both 66, took part in the rappelling adventure at Medieval Chamber and Morning Glory bridge. Our guide, Nate, was exceptional. Despite my fear of heights, I felt excited and nervous about rappelling. Nate patiently guided me, my husband, and two other women through the process with great support and encouragement. The experience was incredible and gave me a true sense of achievement. We highly recommend Nate and paddle Moab. The company had all the necessary equipment set up when we arrived, and we departed promptly at 8:00, showcasing their professionalism.
Nate provided an outstanding experience. This adventure was fantastic and a unique way to explore the region. I would gladly do it again without hesitation.
This experience is a unique chance to engage with nature in an exhilarating way. The descent of 200 feet into the Medieval Chamber and the rappelling past the Morning Glory Natural Bridge felt surreal. Both the hike to and from were outstanding. As avid hikers, we found this to be exceptional. Nate and Kenzie proved to be excellent guides. I strongly recommend them and Paddle Moab.

Our family's first experience with canyoneering and rappelling was fantastic. Our guide ensured we felt at ease, and the views were breathtaking.
Expect plenty of hiking with two distinct rappels. It can be quite daunting, but it's also enjoyable. Be prepared to get wet.
The views were stunning, and we had a blast. Although we explored other parks, this was definitely our favorite activity during our trip to Moab.

Overall, it was an outstanding experience that we would definitely suggest to anyone seeking a memorable time in Moab.
