A stunning yet pricey hidden gem, this secluded state park in Utah is truly magical. It's wonderfully remote and quiet, making it an enchanting place to explore, particularly the unique goblin formations. Visitors can enjoy activities like hiking, bouldering, mountain biking, and camping, with nearby slot canyons worth exploring. However, a visit might only last one to two days at most.
This is an experience you shouldn't overlook. It was an incredible adventure with our guide Tyler. Having participated in many excursions, I can confidently say this one stands out as the best. We rappelled into Goblin's Lair with Tyler, who was exceptional. He made my 63-year-old wife, who is afraid of heights, feel comfortable with his emphasis on safety and great personality. It's hard to believe she completed it on her first try, and she's already considering doing it again.

Tyler is a fantastic instructor who prioritizes safety. While I had previous rappelling experience, the others in our group, ranging from 20 to 72 years old, were all beginners. Tyler demonstrated the technique on smaller boulders, helping them gain the confidence to descend 100 feet smoothly to the cavern floor. During our 12 days in Southeastern Utah, canyoneering in Goblin Valley State Park was the standout experience of our trip.

This experience definitely gives you an adrenaline boost! Opting out of the cave excursion is wise, as it's quite narrow and the rocks can be unstable to grip.
