Dead Horse Point State Park
Moab, USA

Dead Horse Point State Park offers sweeping views of the Colorado River from its dramatic 2,000-foot high cliffs, an ability to appreciate the rugged landscape of the Colorado Plateau at its finest. Named for the legend of stray horses that were trapped and left to die, the park is marked by striking red rock formations and breathtaking canyons.
Plan to hike the 5 kilometre Rim Trail which provides the best panoramas, especially at sunrise and sunset when the colors shift dramatically. Spring and fall are ideal for visiting due to milder temperatures. The nearby Moab area offers additional outdoor activities, including access to the famous Arches National Park.
