Your guide shares insights on local history as you stroll past former warehouses now housing award-winning restaurants. Cross the iconic Stone Arch Bridge, where you can appreciate the blend of European and Indigenous culinary influences. Keep in mind to wear comfortable shoes for the walk, as you’ll be moving between stops while indulging in the city’s food culture.
Reviews
The food tour was fantastic. As residents of the Twin Cities metro area, we discovered new places we had never explored before. We will surely be returning to these spots. Our guide Maria was excellent.
Connor served as a fantastic tour guide. He possessed a wealth of knowledge about both the city and its food. He addressed our numerous questions with expertise.
My family visited for a wedding and sought an engaging experience on Saturday afternoon. Maria was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. The food tastings were excellent and varied. The stunning fall colors along the river enhanced our experience. We truly enjoyed ourselves.
Although Connor was a nice person, the tour lacked organization. The restaurants were unprepared for our visit, the portion sizes were very small, and we had to walk over a mile for a stop. We were promised six stops but only visited four. Typically, food tours provide insights into the city and its restaurants, but we didn't gain much knowledge on either front.
While the food was adequate, it didn't showcase Minneapolis. Tacos at a modern food court and generic pizza don't capture local culture. We enjoyed cheese curds at an upscale sports bar and ice cream from a nice but ordinary shop. The only dish that felt authentically Minnesotan was the pierogis from a Polish deli. On a positive note, Conor was a charismatic and entertaining guide, and the other participants added to the experience, making the walk enjoyable. However, the tour failed to provide any genuine insights into the regional cuisine or uncover local "secrets." Except for the deli and pierogis, the venues and menu selections felt bland and unoriginal. Although I left the tour full, I felt unsatisfied.
Connor was a fantastic guide—engaging, knowledgeable, and pleasant to spend time with. The food selections were all excellent, and the walk was enjoyable. It's important to note that the tour ends about a mile from the starting point, as it does not loop back. The tacos were incredible, and all the food tasted great. You’ll visit five stops, with a 'secret stop' in case one of the others is unavailable. I would definitely do this tour again and recommend it to others.
The food tour was excellent, offering a fantastic range of dishes to sample. You also gain a wealth of knowledge about the city and the neighborhoods you explore. A special thanks to our wonderful guide, Stephanie. I highly recommend this experience!
