Since the drive from McCarthy to Kennecott is about 5 miles, it is recommended to meet 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start. If you do not receive follow-up instructions, please contact directly. Participants staying in Kennecott can meet at the office at the designated time, which is located near the National Park Service's Visitor Center. Transportation is not available for those who are staying outside McCarthy, such as in Chitina, Copper Center, or Glennallen.
