This activity starts at the office located in Kennecott. Due to restrictions on vehicle traffic in McCarthy and Kennecott, transportation is available for those residing in McCarthy. A confirmation will be sent with detailed meeting instructions to ensure timely arrival for the activity. Pickup times and locations will depend on your accommodation in the area. After booking, you will receive specific meeting details; please read them thoroughly to arrive on time. Since the drive from McCarthy to Kennecott is about 5 miles, it is recommended to meet 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start. If you do not receive follow-up instructions, please contact directly. Participants staying in Kennecott can meet at the office at the designated time, which is located near the National Park Service's Visitor Center. Transportation is not available for those who are staying outside McCarthy, such as in Chitina, Copper Center, or Glennallen. If there are any questions regarding logistics, please reach out for assistance, as no question is considered too minor.
