The owner canceled our trip after we had already paid, claiming dissatisfaction with my lack of an initial on a part of the liability waiver. I signed the full agreement but felt misled into signing. The liability details should have been addressed before payment. After leaving Kennicott to exchange our mine tour for a kayak trip, we signed the waivers, but the owner insisted we initial a clause almost suggesting they wouldn't call for help if someone were in danger. This waiver is not typical; I’ve traveled extensively and never encountered such unreasonable terms. The implications of allowing negligence without accountability are alarming. It was disappointing that the owner chose to disregard my concerns rather than engage in a conversation after taking our money. Their documentation implies a lack of responsibility for customer safety. Customers deserve assurance that their wellbeing is a priority, especially when paying significant amounts. The emphasis on 5-star reviews seems hollow if safety cannot be guaranteed. Travelers should beware of companies that prioritize profits over the wellbeing of their participants.
