Reviews
We had a fantastic tour of Matera on August 8 at 10 AM, and it was just the two of us with the guide, whose name I unfortunately can't recall. He provided excellent explanations throughout the tour. I highly recommend it.
The service was completely inadequate, disorganized, and unprofessional. Our guide, F., abandoned the group before the bus tour even began due to a mix-up with the seating. It would have taken just a minor adjustment to allow us to continue safely. We have a very negative view of this guide, who chose to leave a group of 15 without even attempting to address the situation, which was not overly dramatic. We do want to thank the driver, who made an effort to provide basic explanations of the sights. This experience is certainly one we would not repeat. I had hoped to receive an apology and a 50% discount today. This agency shows a lack of professionalism and customer care.
We opted for the 6 PM hikes. Despite it being mid-August, some areas had a refreshing breeze, and everyone in our group was dressed for summer.
The journey through and around the historic city offered stunning views at various stops along with insightful explanations. It was a very enjoyable and pleasant experience.
The tour began on a negative note with a 25-minute delay while waiting outside the meeting point, with no seating available. There was no introduction from the driver, and the English commentary, which was meant to share information about points of interest and history, failed to function. However, the views of Matera from the park across were lovely, especially at sunset. Overall, the experience was disappointing.
The office was quite helpful in assisting with the audio guide download. The bus was comfortable and punctual, offering great views. There was ample time at each stop, and the driver was very kind, making it a good experience.
We had a wonderful time exploring Matera. The combination of the bus tour and walking through the city made for an unforgettable experience. It truly is a beautiful city to discover.
This was a fantastic trip and a convenient way to explore the attractions in Matera. It offered excellent value for the cost. The tour guide provided wonderful food suggestions and shared a wealth of information about the city’s history.
Having a bus was beneficial since Matera has steep hills. The tour effectively showcased the highlights of Matera.
This bus tour offers a great introduction to Matera. It's perfect for discovering where you'd like to explore further. The tour guide was wonderful, and if you prefer to minimize walking, this is definitely a must-do. Don't forget your camera.
