Ziwa Rhino Walking Safari Experience

Unlike a typical game drive, this experience puts you on the ground—literally. Accompanied by armed rangers and expert guides, you’ll walk through open savannah and bushland in search of southern White Rhinos. Along the way, you’ll learn about Rhino behavior, tracking techniques, and the conservation efforts that brought these incredible animals back from extinction in Uganda.

Once a Rhino group is located, you’ll observe them from a safe distance on foot—watching them graze, rest, or move through the grasslands. The silence, proximity, and raw presence of these giants make this a powerful, unforgettable moment.

Ziwa is also home to other wildlife such as bushbucks, waterbucks, monkeys, and over 300 bird species, making it a well-rounded nature experience—even in just half a day.
