Daniel and Wilbur provided an excellent experience, sharing fascinating information about the regions we traversed, along with interesting historical anecdotes. The waterfall was stunning, but the steps leading down were damaged from last year's hurricane. The handmade tortillas were truly tasty.
I was the sole participant on the tour, and Dani, the owner, provided an exceptional experience that exceeded the planned stops. Thank you, Dani!
Daniel is a friendly and well-informed guide who has great command of English. The waterfall tour was remarkable, as he ensured our safety while we experienced the waterfall's power. We had lunch at a local farmer's home, enjoying a delicious, authentic Mexican meal and learning to make tortillas. The countryside exploration provided insights into coffee and other local crops. I highly recommend this tour.
Danny was an excellent guide, sharing numerous captivating stories. His passion for the area was evident as he assisted us with the climb at the falls. He also provided clear descriptions of our surroundings and effectively communicated with our lunch hosts.
Oscar was excellent. He picked us up from our Airbnb and graciously accommodated our requests for a few stops before and after the tour. With just three of us, the experience felt very personal. We inquired about the coffee plantations in Manzanillo, and he showed us a nearby coffee plant. He also took us to a stunning church in town, beautifully adorned from a recent local celebration. As our personal photographer, he captured wonderful moments and shared insightful tips about local restaurants and the history of the towns we explored. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour; the waterfall was truly incredible and refreshing.
There are definitely more impressive falls nearby, such as Eugenia. However, it is a pleasant ride in the autumn to a small village that you would likely overlook if you only traveled on the major roads. I didn't stop by the Inn or restaurant.
We should have realized something was off when we were the only ones awaiting the start of this tour. It turned into a private taxi ride up to a park that was closed that day, leaving us with just the park owner. The small waterfall was hard to reach, and the journey lasted around one and a half hours each way. It felt like a regrettable waste of a lovely day and money.
The guide was excellent and deserving of five stars from me personally. However, I feel the trip did not provide good value. In the end, it ended up costing us more than we were initially informed.
The trip was fantastic. The journey to the waterfall and caves was beautiful. The stunning waterfall and the intricate caves leading to the river were highlights. The peaceful environment and our guide's ongoing commentary provided valuable insights into the various plant and tree species, as well as the area's history. We also enjoyed tasting local cuisine, including Colombian coffee. The guide was excellent.
I have a passion for discovering natural sites and providing authentic travel insights. Waterfalls, tranquil spots, and secluded nature areas are my favorites. My reviews aim to assist fellow travelers with truthful information derived from my own experiences.
