Full-day private tour with a certified archaeologist — explore Chichen Itza, swim in a cenote, and enjoy a guided visit to Valladolid, including buffet lunch.
This full-day private tour takes you to Chichen Itza with a certified archaeologist, allowing you to miss the crowds with an early morning visit. Unlike standard tours, you'll see parts of the site that are often overlooked. After exploring Chichen Itza, enjoy a refreshing swim in a cenote to cool off.
The tour also includes round-trip transportation from your hotel or a designated meeting point. Following the cenote experience, you'll have a guided tour of Valladolid, a charming colonial town rich in history. A buffet lunch is provided as part of the tour. Be prepared for a full day of exploration and bring swimwear for the cenote.

Avoid this company at all costs. Our 8am tour was canceled, and we were rescheduled for a 6am tour with a pickup at 5:35am. We waited since 5:30am, but nobody arrived. After finally reaching them, they claimed someone had come and we weren't there, which was clearly a lie confirmed by hotel staff. Save your time and money, and don't choose Amigo Tours.
This tour was fantastic! We dedicated the entire day to discovering Chichen Itza and other archaeological sites, guided by our knowledgeable and amazing guide. We enjoyed a tasty lunch and a swim in a cenote. Traveling as a private group of eight friends, everything was managed excellently. Arriving at Chichen Itza when it opened was the perfect choice.
My partner and I participated in this activity with Marcela as our guide, who ensured the trip was enjoyable even in the heat and looked after the group consistently. Jorge, our driver, also contributed to making the long journey enjoyable. We would undoubtedly choose them again.
This company disappointed me with their dishonesty and lack of support. For instance, they brought us to a "Mayan" store where umbrellas cost $30 and special rocks were priced at $50. Expect to be overcharged. I suggest opting for a smaller private shuttle for better personal service. On a positive note, Pastor was a very kind and helpful gentleman.
Edwin was our tour guide and Salvador took care of the driving. Both were extremely kind, professional, and helpful. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking an excellent experience at Chichenitza.
I wholeheartedly recommend this experience; it was a truly spectacular adventure. Frank, the guide, is friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed every moment and was truly amazed.
This experience feels like a complete scam. Lunch is not included as promised; it's only for "VIPs," despite what the ticket indicates. At Chichen Itza, they inform you on the bus that entry will cost an additional $40 per person. You'll be taken to several unhelpful shopping stops for three hours, leaving you with under an hour at the actual site. The focus is clearly on extracting as much money as possible from participants. To top it off, you end up being dropped off at night in a remote area instead of being taken back as expected. It's best to steer clear of this tour.
Rodrigo Cat, Eddie Luna, and Kevin make an incredible team. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, these guides deliver in every way. From Rodrigo's passionate commentary to Eddie's safe driving and Kevin's excellent organization, they ensured we felt like celebrities. Everything was flawless, including timely pick-up, engaging stories, no waiting in lines, lunch, and an unforgettable tour of Chichen Itza. It truly felt like a dream day. Thank you for an amazing experience.
My experience with Amigo Tours was very disappointing. I booked an English-language tour, but about 80% of the explanations given by our guide, Tomas, were in Spanish, with only brief and unclear English phrases. The primary service I paid for was not provided. Additionally, the itinerary was not followed as promised. Amigo's pre-tour instructions indicated that Valladolid would be our first stop, yet we visited it last, with only roughly 25 minutes there and no explanation for the change. This deviation significantly affected the overall experience. The quality of lunch was another concern. Despite claims to the contrary, the buffet offered very limited and poor options, primarily just nachos, which did not match what was advertised and was inferior to other Amigo tours on that day. There were also transportation delays that further cut into our time at the sites. The bus traveled unusually slowly, letting multiple buses pass us, which meant less time at already quick stops. In summary, this tour fell short in language, itinerary, food quality, and timing, largely due to Tomas’s inadequate guidance. I have evidence to support my claims. Given my experience, I cannot recommend Amigo Tours and urge others to be cautious.
Kevin was an outstanding guide, making the tour enjoyable along with Victor and Francisco. Everything went seamlessly, and Kevin's humor kept the atmosphere light. My family and I gained so much knowledge from him. I highly recommend this tour, but be aware that lunch is served around 4-5pm and pickup is at 8am, so it's wise to eat a hearty breakfast and bring snacks.
