I made a reservation through a booking site and received a confirmation email. I arrived at the pickup location 15 minutes early and waited for an hour, but no one showed up. I reached out to both the tour operator and the booking site, but received no response. I'm disappointed that I couldn't participate, and the customer service is very poor.
The tour proved to be quite fascinating. We explored a banana plantation where we gained insights into different varieties and the cultivation process. Additionally, we learned about coconuts and their various applications. Our guide, More, was exceptionally knowledgeable, enhancing our experience. I would suggest this tour to anyone seeking excursions in Manzanillo and nearby regions.
Juventino, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and responsive to our needs. We explored the charming towns of Cihuatlan, Melaque, and Barra de Navidad, and concluded with a boat ride to Isla de Navidad for a delightful lobster lunch.
I struggled to get in touch with the tour operator due to email issues. After four calls to get information, I still couldn’t reach him. It was 35C with no air conditioning, which made the situation unbearable, especially since it was a driving tour. The visit to the plantation consisted of merely driving through a small flooded area. We stopped in Navadad, a small town north of Manzanillo, where we walked about a block to a restaurant for lunch, which wasn’t included and seemed geared towards tourists. Given the price and the limited options in the area, I cannot recommend this tour at all. The absence of air conditioning was particularly problematic.
Initially, our driver was late, and after waiting an hour, I called and learned he was facing internet issues. Once he arrived, we had an excellent tour, particularly enjoying the banana plantation. Overall, we appreciated the trip and the driver’s knowledge. It was definitely worth the cost.
The tour operator hasn't conducted tours in over a year. When I reached out to customer service, they were also unaware of this situation. It's unbelievable that a tour company wouldn't know their current status. I plan to dispute the charge. Save yourself the hassle and book with a local provider instead; don't waste your time or money here. Just consider taking an Uber and creating your own tour.
