Reviews
The tour was well-organized and covered all the highlights. The guide had excellent English and offered water and snacks. They were attentive to our interests and needs.
We arranged a private tour for four in Manta, hoping to spend the entire day exploring during our 10-hour port stop. Unfortunately, delays in disembarking led to us losing about 1.5 hours of our tour. There was also some confusion regarding the itinerary; Shaskia, our guide, had a different plan than we had discussed, which meant we missed seeing the Panama hat factory. However, she adjusted quickly, and despite not visiting everything we wanted, the tour was enjoyable. Shaskia was knowledgeable and friendly, which helped smooth over the issues. I highly recommend her as a guide. The Panama hat site was impressive, and the chocolate factory included a booze tasting that turned out to be a delightful add-on. The restaurant she recommended for our seafood lunch was wonderful, but we had to eat in a hurry because of the ship's delay. I would consider booking with Manta again, ensuring that we confirm an itinerary beforehand.
This tour was fantastic from start to finish. Our guide Esteban and driver Cesar were outstanding. We not only enjoyed the sights but also gained insight into Ecuador's culture and economy while having a great time. We highly suggest this excursion for anyone on a cruise stop. We only wish we had more time to explore.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The tour guides were fantastic and shared plenty of informative details while ensuring we had a fun time. They were a family duo, an uncle and his nephew, with the last name Boyen.
Juan and Christian were excellent guides. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. They were both friendly, adaptable, and fluent in English. They also had extensive knowledge of Manta and responded to all our inquiries. If you're in Manta, I highly recommend Manta Tour Guides. I also appreciated the individual discount Tom provided since we had 20 people on the tour.
This tour was fantastic, especially with Marcus English as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kept us engaged with interesting puzzles and games during our travels between locations. We visited a stunning beach where we enjoyed traditional food, making for a wonderful day overall. Our driver also performed exceptionally well.
Our group was small, just six people, and our guide Tony was exceptional—kind and very accommodating. He deeply engaged us in the local culture and showed us his favorite spots. Our experience truly surpassed expectations. The transportation van was comfortable and air-conditioned. Will's restaurant, located on a serene beach away from tourist crowds, offered delicious grilled seafood and plantains. The staff there was wonderful, and Tony helped us choose from the menu and took care of our orders. It felt like a brief getaway from our main trip. I'm disappointed we only have one day here. We concluded our tour at Samor Artisan Premium Chocolate, marking a beautiful day. Thank you for an incredible tour.
Marcos was an excellent guide. We explored the fish market and a museum covering the area's history, followed by an impressive hat-making demonstration. The chocolate tasting was delightful, and we enjoyed a relaxing lunch with a view of the Pacific. It was a fantastic tour.
Marcos was an exceptional guide during our adventure. We loved visiting the museum, the fish market, and the Panama hat makers, although we found the chocolate demonstration uninteresting. He also brought us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch, and we appreciated the opportunity to connect with our fellow travelers.
This tour was an absolute delight. With a small group of seven and an excellent guide named Marco, we had a great experience. Our first visit was to an open-air fish market on the beach, which was quite intriguing. Next, we explored a small museum on a hill that provided stunning views and insights into Ecuador's history. The highlight was definitely the Panama Hat store, where we observed the fascinating process of hat weaving and shaping. We concluded the day with a private lunch overlooking the Pacific. I highly recommend this tour.
