Reviews
An accommodating and informative tour in the rainforest. There was a lot to observe, and the guide provided insights into the medicinal uses of various native plants.
The hike through the rainforest was quite challenging but rewarding. It was muddy, though rubber boots were provided. I appreciated being immersed in the forest, especially learning about our guide's sustainable lifestyle and his cultivation methods. The experience was definitely worth the effort and the mud.
We had a fantastic time on this tour. There was so much to observe, from a small frog to a tarantula. We also enjoyed making Panamanian hats and visiting a delightful chocolate shop with excellent coffee and cake. Our guide was accommodating, allowing us as much time as we wanted, and ensured we returned to the ship with plenty of time to spare.
We enjoyed a private tour led by our guide Juan, which began in the stunning Pacoche forest. The park guide was fantastic, and Juan’s translation skills and knowledge of the area were impressive. Next, we traveled to Montecristi for a personalized demonstration on Panama hat making at a family-run shop, which was a delightful experience. We then asked Juan to recommend a nice place for lunch and found ourselves at a surf beach south of Manta, where we had a wonderful meal with an amazing view. To top it off, our day concluded with a visit to a family-owned chocolate factory, which was delicious.
Our trip with Juan was fantastic. His knowledge and insights were impressive. We visited the fish market, explored the Pacoche Reserve, watched a Panama hat demonstration, enjoyed a hilltop view, and had lunch. Juan tailored the trip to include what our group wanted to see. It was an awesome experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed our day.
