• The journey from Mangalore to Bekal, located along the Arabian Sea, takes approximately 2 hours. On the way to Bekal, stop at the Ananthapura Lake Temple, which dates back to the 9th century. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity Vishnu and is found in the center of a lake. A single crocodile, regarded as the temple's guardian by locals, is often seen in the lake. This crocodile is unique as it only consumes food offered by devotees. • Upon arriving in Bekal, explore the 17th-century fort known for its keyhole shape, which provides picturesque views of the beach and ocean from its ramparts. Nearly three-quarters of the fort's walls are surrounded by water, making it appear to rise from the sea when viewed from a distance. After touring the fort, board a houseboat for a scenic cruise on Bekal's backwaters. Spend the afternoon navigating the clear waters while enjoying views of palm trees, lush fields, villages, and temples. A traditional Kerala meal, excluding beverages, will be prepared and served on the houseboat, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices available. Once the activities conclude, you will be transported back to a designated location or your hotel.
