• Pickup will be from your hotel in Mangalore, followed by a drive to Karkala, which is approximately an hour away from Mangalore. You will visit the large monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali, established in 1432. Bahubali, known as "One with strong arms," is a prominent figure in Jainism, believed to have meditated standing for a year before achieving liberation from the cycle of life and death. • Next, travel to Moodabidri, a 30-minute drive from Karkala. This town is a significant hub for Jainism in India and is commonly referred to as Jain Kashi, boasting at least 18 Jain temples. The main temple took 31 years to complete. After visiting the temple, explore a local bazaar in Moodabidri, where people from nearby areas gather to shop for fruits, vegetables, spices, clothing, food items, and other necessities. This offers insight into the typical daily life in the region. Your following destination will be a fruit and spice plantation. You can stroll through the site to learn about the various spices, fruits, and other products cultivated there. Tasting the renowned pineapples is an option. The farm also sells spices if you wish to purchase any (at your own expense). Conclude the visit with lunch (drinks not included) at a nearby restaurant in Moodabidri. After lunch, you will be returned to Mangalore and dropped off at your hotel.
