Nine days and 478 kilometres — cross five high passes, including Khardung La, with stunning views of Ladakh’s mountains and monasteries.
This is a challenging nine-day cycling trip that covers the iconic 478 km Manali-Leh Highway. Starting in the verdant Kullu Valley, the route transitions to high mountain deserts, clear salt lakes, and past ancient Buddhist monasteries. Riders will traverse five high passes, two of which exceed 5000 metres in altitude.
The highlight is the ascent of Khardung La Pass, the highest motorable road in the world, at 5606 metres. The effort is rewarded with sweeping views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks and an exhilarating descent into Leh, the Buddhist capital of Ladakh. The best time to undertake this adventure is between mid-June and October.
