JAMA MASJID was built in 1423 by Sultan Ahmed Shah using yellow sandstone. CHOTA IMAMBARA, constructed in 1838 by Nawab Muhammad Shah Ali, features stunning interiors adorned with chandeliers, gold-framed mirrors, and a magnificent throne, alongside mini Taj Mahal replicas and a serene pond. ROOMI DARWAZA features prominently in the itinerary. BARA IMAMBARA was established in 1784 by Nawab Asaf-ud-daula and includes the Asfi mosque and the Bhulbhulaiya. CHATTAR MANZIL, meaning the Umbrella Palace, served as the residence of the Nawabs of Awadh and was built in the 1780s. BEGUM HAZRAT MAHAL PARK was created in 1962 to honor Begum Hazrat Mahal, the Begum of Awadh, showcasing fountains, trees, flowers, and stone pathways. MOTI MAHAL, known as the Palace of Pearls, overlooks the Gomti river and offers impressive city views. Ambedkar Park, also known as Elephant Park, spans 107 acres and features structures made from red sandstone sourced from Rajasthan.
