    Follow the Serchio River and cycle along scenic country roads on the way to the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa on this family-friendly self-guided tour. This intermediate journey starts from the ancient Walls of Lucca and it is completely flat and is suitable both for e-bikes and trekking bikes. The route winds along mixed roads, cycle paths, dirt roads, country roads and only the access to San Giuliano Terme take place on normal roads, for approximately 2 km (out of 33 km) San Giuliano Terme, after about 20km, is the only village where you find bars and shops for foods and drinks. The itinerary ends in Piazza dei Miracoli, in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. After the visit to Piazza dei Miracoli and the usual photos, it is possible to return easily by train by loading the bicycle on the prepared wagons. (about 25 minutes of travel). The more trained can decide to use the return route by bike, that is more direct. Difficulty: 33 km Lucca to Pisa; 26 km way back (or train)
