There was confusion over the precise pick-up location, even though it was part of our original booking. We had to ask several times for the driver's name, the vehicle make, and the license plate number. For most travelers, this might not be a problem, but we faced many individuals posing as drivers at baggage claim, which raised our concerns about identifying the right person we had paid in advance. Once we received the necessary details from the vendor, the ride went smoothly. For our return trip, we anticipated a similar experience with the driver and vehicle. Although we received pick-up time details a day prior, on the actual day, we lacked information about the driver's name or vehicle details. The numerous operators in NYC in front of our Manhattan hotel added to the confusion. Once we confirmed the driver’s name and vehicle type, we were let down by the vehicle's quality for our return trip. Its amenities were on par with what we could find through Uber or Lyft for much less. Our driver was respectful, pleasant, and helpful, but there were conversation difficulties that made the ride quiet. Despite his professionalism, the disparity between this vehicle and the one from our initial journey, including cleanliness, led us to feel we could have chosen an Uber or Lyft for a better experience at a lower cost.
