We arranged the tour just a day in advance, and our Driver-Guide, Gede, was right on time. He first brought us to the waterfalls with another guide, which was fantastic. Then, we visited a village where we learned about fabric-making and were able to sample the homemade products. We enjoyed a meal at lovely Selong Beach and took a quick stop in Kuta to admire the beach. Gede was also our guide in the village of Sade, where he was excellent. Upon returning to our hotel, we had the chance to witness a traditional Lombok wedding. This 10-hour excursion is absolutely recommended.
Our amiable driver and guide greeted us at the cruise port and took us to a variety of stunning locations. The vehicle was comfortable, clean, and equipped with effective air conditioning. The clear, spring-fed waterfalls exceeded our expectations, and the jungle hike to reach them was worthwhile, offering glimpses of monkeys along the way. There’s a fair amount of driving between the sites, but Dade kept us engaged and enlightened with stories about the local culture. Visiting the Sasak village was fascinating; it felt special to be welcomed there. Finally, we opted to go to Tanjung Aan Beach, which was truly breathtaking, featuring soft white sand, surfers, and a largely untouched environment. It was a fantastic day, even with the rain!
Julian, our driver, met us at the cruise port right on time. He was friendly, supportive, and well-informed about the island. Our first stop was a stunning waterfall, but be prepared for uneven steps that require mobility. The second stop was described as a traditional village, but it's really just a large building housing an artist co-op. While it was a bit misleading, we still found it enjoyable. We missed our final stop due to time constraints, but we still feel it deserved a 5-star rating because of the great experience with Julian.
The driver was punctual, and we were transported in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. We had an excellent professional driver who accompanied us throughout the day. With his assistance, we planned our itinerary and visited some charming locations, culminating at a stunning beach. He then guided us up a hill for fantastic views. We truly appreciated our day out and found the driver to be exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Aby served as our driver and guide, and he truly was an incredible person with a generous spirit. Despite the heavy rain that left us drenched after visiting the waterfalls, he kindly went out of his way to provide us with towels. While on the tour, we encountered a severely injured puppy by the roadside. Aby was supportive and took us to the local vet. He even made a stop at an ATM so we could withdraw more cash. The weaving village run by local women was also quite fascinating. Overall, it was an excellent tour. With the best driver and wonderful individuals to meet along the way, it became an unforgettable day.
Eka arrived promptly and provided us with a thorough overview of our day's itinerary. The waterfalls were breathtaking, and we had ample time to unwind and swim. The visit to the local village was fascinating, especially getting to try our hand at weaving. We wrapped up the day at a beach with crystal-clear waters and beautiful views.
The tour was an excellent experience. Our driver was friendly and well-informed, managing our pickups and drop-offs seamlessly, while organizing our visit to the waterfalls with another great local guide. We chose to focus solely on the waterfalls, which were stunning. I highly recommend this and appreciate the memorable adventure.
The waterfall was incredible, and we had a great time at the weaving village. However, I recommend opting for a different beach (Belanak Beach) as it was dirty and quite uncomfortable. We discovered much cleaner beaches near Kuta on our own. We also really enjoyed the unexpected stop at Sky Lancing Lombock Paragliding.
This experience truly deserves a 10/10 rating. Sam, our driver, was incredibly friendly and one of the best locals I've encountered. He took us around the island, provided water, and ensured our comfort throughout the tour. We visited local attractions while he shared history and engaged us in conversation about our own backgrounds. The day concluded at a stunning local beach followed by a climb for breathtaking views. Having traveled through Asia for 30 days, this was my favorite day in all of Indonesia. Thank you, Sam, for the amazing memories!
We had a fantastic day with our exceptional driver and guide, Habib. He spoke excellent English, navigated the chaotic traffic safely, and showed genuine kindness throughout the excursion. We even had the opportunity to meet his father, which spoke volumes about his caring nature. Our itinerary included a visit to a village where cloth is hand-woven, stunning waterfalls, a monkey forest, and a grand mosque. Due to travel times, we replaced a beach stop with the monkey forest and mosque. Habib treated us to drinks and snacks, and he even bought us satay and rice after feeding peanuts to the monkeys. His generosity was touching; it was clear he wanted to give us a memorable experience rather than just fulfill his role as a driver. Despite facing heavy rain on the way back to the cruise ship, Habib took every precaution to ensure our safety. Overall, our day with him was truly wonderful, leaving us with lasting memories.
